99Damage

My name's Leo, and I'm a young artist currently studying the graphical side of video games development.

Q #1. How often do you make your artwork?
It varies really. Although I may not update the site with new pieces every day, I'm almost always working on something new with any free time I get.

Q #2. How do you make your artwork?
I work on a Mac, using a variety of different programs for different pieces. These range from Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for digital artwork, to Flash and After Effects for animation and 3D Studio Max for 3D modelling and animation. Of course, when I'm not working on a computer, I sketch out any ideas I have on-the-go.

Q #3. How long does your artwork take you?
The time varies from piece to piece depending on the level of detail. Some pieces can take just 20 whereas others can take a number of days.

Q #4. Do you do commissions?
Yes. I am willing to take on just about any commission. My pricing varies depending on the type of work you would want done, the level of detail involved and whether or not you would be using it for personal or commercial use. If you are interested in commissioning me, drop me a line at leo@99damage.com and we can discuss the details of whatever it is you may want done.

Q #5. Why are pills being used as navigation buttons?
I know this may be unclear to some people, but read the 'small print' under the 99Damage logo at the top of the page.

Q #6. Can your website actually cause any of the side effects mentioned in the 'small print' at the top of the page?
To put it simply, no. The warning label was written as a hearted joke, so please do not take it seriously and spend as much time looking around the site without worrying about your personal health.

Q #7. When is the store being launched?
Very soon. I know it's been in the works since the site's opening, but I've been doing a lot of research into popular designs and different potential fabric printers and embroiderers. I have finished the first group of designs and am going to be having some 'prototypes' made by different companies before I commit to anything, so just hold tight.

Q #8. When will the first issue of Grime be on sale?
For those of you who don't already know, Grime is my original graphic novel, or comic book to my less pretentious viewers. Although the first 2 episodes are completed, I'm waiting until I have a few more done so I can release them at a regular monthly/bi-monthly pace without missing any deadlines, so at the moment there is no fixed release date for the first issue.

Q #9. How can I contact you?
I hope this FAQ has helped with any questions you may have had, but if something was unanswered that you feel the need to contact me about, you can email your questions to leo@99damage.com.
